Dr. Giever became our family's doctor when we moved to Weiser in 1976. I was only five at the time. I have fond memories of visiting his office throughout the 70's and 80's!

I knew Dr Giever as our Family Doctor, a Friend and a Boss. He was our Family’s Dr for over 25 years. Our whole family loved him.
As a friend, he was a great story teller...he always had interesting stories about his days in the Military and his early days as a new Doctor. He was the best at telling jokes! There’s even one I continue to tell at present ..but I won’t repeat it here...just know it was funny!!
He had a very distinct laugh and we all loved hearing it! One could hear him laughing all through the office when he got tickled.
I worked at Family Medical Center from 1985-1996...and I must say, those were some of the best years of my life. He was the best at his job, caring and knowledgeable, and I loved how he would call patients back the day after he saw them to just check on them and see how they were doing. This doesn’t happen often these days...
I have the best memories of Dr Giever and some of our warm and friendly staff...Mary Margo, Kyla, Cheryl, Candy, Sally and Cynthia to name a few.
Today a few of his comical remarks (he said in private ) came to mind...such as “I don’t know what he’s got, but it’s the worst case I’ve ever seen”
and...Frances, are you ever going to amount to anything?” Lol (still working on that one Dr)
He was a great Inspiration to all who knew him... a great example to his profession and his community.
He was simply THE BEST
With Sincere Condolences,
Frances Widener
