I attended High School with Barb and although I was in the Brass section and she was in the Woodwind section, her music was beautiful and rose above all else. Barb was one of the smartest and kindest people I knew in High School, and it makes my heart sad that she has left us, yet also so happy to hear of the beautiful life she has enjoyed. God received a new 1st chair! Christine Drouillard (Hohnstein)

I sat in the row in front of Paul & Barb for all of her years with the Meridian Symphony. Our children are the same ages, so we swapped many stories about motherhood. She was truly one of the brightest and sweetest souls I have ever known. And an amazing musician, as well. My deepest condolences to Paul and the boys.

Barb was a beautiful friend. Whether nearby or long distance, Barb took the time to check in on her friends to share a part of her daily life, share a joke, support a friend in need, or just because she had thought about you and wanted you to know that fact. Barb was witty, had a keen mind and loved to discuss all kinds of topics, was a gifted musician and shared those gifts with others. Barb lived her faith by being kind and loving to all she met. Barb is already missed. Barb will never be forgotten.
Extending my very deepest sympathies to her family.
Rest in Peace, Barb.

I was so saddened to hear about Barb's passing. I will always remember her talent and giving spirit as she accompanied the St. Mark's School Mass Choir when I directed it. She was at every practice and Mass without fail, and she was adept at playing any piece of music I threw at her! She was witty, kind, and a wonderful mother and Christian woman. I wish I could attend the funeral, but I live in Seattle and cannot get to Boise during that time. Please know that I keep her family in my prayers. God Bless! Love, Cathy Woods

I have loved and respected Barb for over 21 yrs. She is a momma that shared a very special bond with me. I couldn't ask for better parents to Matthew and Joseph. She, Paul and the boys are my family and I am eternally grateful for our relationship. There wasn't a day that went by that she wasn't there for her family - every second of every day.
Barb, fly high and soar taking with you the love of those that are missing you. We are many! RIP beautiful soul!

I met Barb after she and Paul began to get serious. I remember Paul's mom fell totally in love with Barb almost immediately since she possessed such a strong spirit and enthusiasm. Also, it was inventible that Paul would marry the woman who could hand him his (insert word) in outplaying him on the clarinet. Men love that sort of thing....
I was blessed to be the best man at their wedding and remain Paul's brother in law.
We will miss Barb's wit and warmth greatly but we know she is not really gone just watching our lives and hopefully giving a gentle nudge now and then.

Heartfelt condolences to Barb’s surviving family. I first knew Barb through playing church services together at St John’s Cathedral and at St Mark’s Catholic Church. And then as a coworker at Dunkley Music. Barb was a hardworking, friendly, knowledgeable coworker, and such a gifted and musical player. She is at peace now, and will be sorely missed.
