Obituary of Judith Harris

Judith Lynn Harris, 76, of Eagle, ID passed away on September 22, 2021 at her home.   Judy “J or Little Judy” was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to Earl and Judith (Robinson) Sutton.  Judy was the oldest of 54 grandchildren in the Robinson family.  At the age of 12 Judy and her family moved to the United States.  Judy’s family settled in Southern California where Judy graduated from Torrance high school in 1962.  Judy always wanted to be a nurse and started her career as a candy striper.  Judy worked her way up to RN working in Labor and Delivery and spent most of her 43-year career in the ER.  In 1969 Judy met her husband, Richard, while she was working and Richard came to the hospital as a Paramedic.  In 1970 Judy and Richard were married and enjoyed 51 years together.  Judy and Richard raised their three children and loved taking camping adventures, especially in the High Sierras.  As a family they would travel across the U.S and often returned to Canada to visit Judy’s family. Judy always enjoyed her special trips to “the farm” in Caledonia, her aunt and uncle’s home, to reunite with family and friends.  Judy was a Girl Scout leader for many years and was also very involved with Richard’s Boy Scout troop.  She was always volunteering in her kid’s classrooms or at sporting events.  Judy loved to get together with friends and family.  For many years she enjoyed her time playing bunko with the ladies. Judy was always willing to host parties at her home, forever the gracious host.  In 2011 Judy and Richard moved to Idaho and enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren.  Judy was known for singing, “the hills are alive with the sound of music,” from her favorite movie.

Judy is survived by her husband, Richard; children: Victor (Terri), Ken (Doneene) their family: Wyatt and Dillon Harris, Karen (Don) Prosser and their family: Justin and Nicole Prosser, Mindy (Aaron) Farnsworth and their children: William and Brigit Farnsworth; sister, Connie (Don), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; step mother, Helen Sutton; In-Laws, Victor and Jeanette Harris; and sister, Kathy.
