June Miller

Obituary of June Lois Miller

June “Lucky” Miller gained her angel wings and flew to Heaven on December 11, 2021. She passed surrounded by her closest family and extended family, after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer. June was born in Woburn, MA on the Friday of February 13th, 1942. Soon after her birth, her father quickly gave her the nickname of “Lucky”.  Lucky was so proud of her family and her family’s Italian Heritage and showed it the rest of her life. Lucky moved to California with her family where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Don Miller. She met her love, Ken and his motorcycle in the summer of 1959. They wed July 3, 1960. A marriage of TRUE LOVE that lasted for 61 years. Lucky was more than just a wife and a mother, but she was a friend and a what Ken describes her as “Beautifully Unique”. Lucky was so proud to call herself a Domestic Engineer when people asked her what she did for a career, as making a home for her husband and kids made her so happy. Ken and June loved to travel the world together and have added countless pages into their life’s pages. One of her favorite places was the Oregon Coast. In particular Lincoln City.

Lucky loved to entertain and was always the life of the party, usually ending with some sort of shenanigans. Stories of her “forking” lawns and taking labels off grocery cans in people’s pantries.

Thank you to all the family and friends who have stopped by, called, or FaceTimed over the last few weeks. Thank you for offering support, laughs, food and drinks. During these visits, Lucky was still the life of the party. She was always an amazing host, telling stories, cracking jokes, and keeping things light, often saying “well I haven’t kicked the bucket yet”.

Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, although she leaves behind her husband (who she adored); son, Matthew Miller and daughter-in-law (whom she treated as her own daughter) Chiara Casati-Miller;  daughter, Carlene Foruria and son in-law, Brian Foruria; son, Mitchell Miller and his wife, Debbie Miller; grandchildren: Kelsi West and spouse, Jacob, Kylie Prough, McKenna Ballantyne and spouse, Branson, Alexandria Galeano and spouse, Mallory Harrington, Austin Harrington, Luke and Landon Miller. Lucky also was blessed with 4 GREAT Grandkids: Lena, Moses, Aubrey and Bernard, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Her legacy will be forever in our hearts.
