I was very sorry to hear Dick had passed away. I grew up in Moscow on West A, and walked up to their home on West C Street to take violin lessons from his father, Leroy. Although I was 7 years older than Dick, I remember him, and played in the University of Idaho Symphony with him when his father was the conductor. Heartfelt condolences from an old neighbor to his family of loved ones.

We were so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. I worked with him at South High and enjoyed our daily encounters passing in the hall on our way to our classrooms. When I think of him I see his great smile, his kindness to all and his quiet manner in which he received so much success. South students were so fortunate to be under his expertise. I’m sending a special hug to Jo. My heart breaks for all of you. Dee and John Horn & family

I am so sorry and shocked to hear about Dick. While growing up in Moscow and at the University of Idaho, he was one of the kindest and humblest persons I ever met. His gifts and talents as musician, conductor, and teacher were amazing. Gretchen, I know he loved you and your whole family so much. His pictures on Facebook showed his pride and love of you.
Thinking of Dick and you and sending prayers and love. Peggy Sharp Quesnell
