Obituary of Juanita Ellen Miller

Juanita Ellen Miller, 92 of Notus, Idaho passed away in her home July 15th, 2022.  Juanita was born to William Oscar Bond and Hazel Nina (Hull) Bond March 16th, 1930.  Juanita’s best friend, Betty Lou Miller, introduced Juanita to her brother Robert (Bob) Miller.  The two hit it off and they were married June 8th, 1947.  The couple resided in Laverne, Oklahoma until 1954 when they moved to Nampa, Idaho.  In 1995 they moved to Notus, Idaho and began ranching with their son Nathan.

Juanita worked at Birds Eye Food, Inc. for a few years and then several years at the convalescent center until 1974, when she began working at Saga-NNC/NNU.  She worked at NNC until she retired in 1999. She was loved by all the students and faculty.  She was a member of the Notus Community Club and a member of the Parma Nazarene Church.  Juanita loved the Lord, and it was evident in the manner in which she lived.  Everyone loved her from the youngest of children to the many college students that she welcomed into her home. She loved her family and friends.  Her passion in life was to love the Lord first and foremost, second to God, Juanita loved her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She loved to read, cook, quilt, and loved working in her flower garden.  When there was opportunity, she would play games with everyone, especially her grandchildren.    

Juanita is survived by her children: Treva McHenry, Weiser, ID; Viola Wickstrom, Lander, WY; Nancy (Ron) Manley, Parma, ID; Nathan Miller, Notus, ID; LaDonna (Alan) Stoker; Nampa, ID;  grandchildren: Robert Miller, Michael Miller, Eva (Luke) Folke, Luke McHenry, Nancy (Scott) Lattimer, Linda Williams, Bonnie Robinson, David Wickstrom, Yvonne (Ben) Sparks, Dirk Manley, Roger Manley, Elizabeth (Kyle) Stoker, and Benjamin Stoker. 16 great grandchildren: Shanae and Amy Lattimer, Sydney (Hap) Migliaccio, Sidman (Sydney) McHenry, Luke, Keegan, and Jack McHenry, Katie Robinson, Adri and Reid Folke, Alexander and Julianna Miller, Blake, Brooke, Emma, and Zachariah Sparks. One great-great grandchild: Crash Migliaccio. Special inclusions include Jolene (Ted) Daniels, Brandon, Bryant, and Brianna Daniels, Marci (Tim) Wendland, Isaac Wendland, and Abigail (Dylan) Rayburn.  Many nieces and nephews. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Miller; parents: William Oscar and Hazel Bon;  her brothers: Earnest and Albert Bond;  sisters: Ruth Bond and Edith Knoll; Son, David Miller; grandson, Sidman McHenry; great granddaughter, McKaylee McHenry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Juanita’s name to Veterans of Idaho or Parma Nazarene Church.
