Obituary of Ryan Lee Green

Ryan Green was born on June 22, 1989, in Hillsboro Oregon to Steven Lee Green and Brenda Lee Green. At the age of 3, Ryan moved to Eagle, Idaho with his parents and brothers Chad and Brandon Green. As Ryan grew up, he attended Eagle Nazarene Church where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Victory Cove church camp in McCall, Idaho.

Ryan attended Eagle Elementary School, Eagle Middle School, and Eagle High School. During his senior year of high school, Ryan moved to Forest Grove, Oregon to live with his grandmother, Mary Green where he attended and graduated from Century High School in 2007. Throughout grade school, Ryan’s dream was to attend Oregon State University and major in an agricultural field. In 2011, Ryan achieved his dream when he received his bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in Environmental Economics and Policy Management. Ryan continued his education and received a master’s degree of Agriculture Integrated Resource Management from Colorado State University in 2015 and was working toward his Doctor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance degree from Northcentral University.

At a young age, Ryan developed a love for farming and cattle which led him to join Future Farmers of America (FFA). During his time in FFA he raised, bred, and sold cattle. Ryan had the spirit of an entrepreneur and found that he enjoyed economics and policy during an internship in Washington D.C. for an Idaho Senator. A highlight of his young life was meeting JR Simplot and interviewing him about how he got started in business. Ryan started his career with JR Simplot Company in fertilizer and chemical sales after graduating from Oregon State University. Ryan had many different roles within the industry which allowed him to travel the United States and even part of Africa with his father, who is also in the industry. Ryan moved to Amarillo, Texas where he bought 20 acres and planned to start a cattle operation.

Ryan had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, and snowboarding with his grandfather, father, and his brothers. Ryan enjoyed taking trips to Alaska to go fishing and cherished spending time with his family at their cabin on the Oregon coast. During most of October, Ryan could be found at their families hunting camp on the Middle Fork of the Boise River which was one of his favorite places.

Ryan had a deep love for his family, especially his daughter Boise Kapree Green, who is his pride and joy.  Ryan is survived by his daughter Boise Kapree Green of Amarillo, Texas;  parents Brenda and Steve Green of Eagle, Idaho; brother Chad Green (and his wife Alison) of Meridian, Idaho; brother Brandon Green of Nampa, Idaho; grandmothers: Mary Green of Forest Grove, Oregon and Elizabeth McComb of Lehi, Utah; and his nieces: Brynlee, Mela, and Harper Green of  Meridian, Idaho.

Ryan is preceded in death by his grandfathers: George Green and Keith McComb and his aunt Debbie Sue Green.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Accent Funeral Home in Meridian, Idaho. A celebration of life will be held on Monday March 13, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Eagle Nazarene Church and an interment service at Dry Creek Cemetery will follow.
