Obituary of Thelma Jean Marion

Thelma Jean (Baringer) Marion, 73, passed away at her home in Boise, Idaho on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Jean was born on June 13, 1949, in Roseburg, Oregon to parents Ephriam “Doc” Baringer and Mattie (Phillips) Baringer. She was the youngest of 4 children, and grew up mostly in Mountain Home, Idaho with her brother, Chuck, and sisters, Doris and Sandra.

Jean loved spending time with family, especially outdoors enjoying the sun. A few of her favorite things to do included camping, family get-togethers, tending to her flowers, and cuddling with her dogs. Jean adored going to the Oregon Coast, especially Haystack Rock.

Jean was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A great friend to many, she was an excellent listener, but of course, was not afraid to speak her mind. She always hosted Christmas Eve dinners for the family which entailed a big meal, games, and lots of laughs.

Jean leaves behind her children: Barry and Rhene Baringer, Brooke and Bob Colquitt, Rani and Brett Aeschbacher, and Slade and Amber Vanderschans; grandchildren: Seth, Molly, Blake, Abbi, Laycee, Bailey, Garrett, and Mackenzee; 4 great grandchildren; siblings: Chuck and Marlys Baringer, and Sandra Altaffor; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother and father; sister, Doris, and her grandson, Tristen.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Aeschbacher residence in Meridian, Idaho beginning at noon.
