Obituary of Faye Cate McCall

Faye was many things to many people; she could do it all. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Faye was also a world traveler, singer, dancer, painter, chef extraordinaire, seamstress, and a lover of happy hour! Faye passed away in Boise on May 25, 2023. A Valentine’s baby, she was born in Baker, Montana on February 14, 1938, to Clifford and Mary (Bradac) Cate. The middle of five children, Faye went on to have three children, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Francis; brother, Jerome; and son, Thomas. She is survived by her children: Stephen McCall, Kelley (Darren) McGrath; her sister, MaryJean Niklas; brother, Jim Cate; her grandchildren: Tony (Marlena), J.G. (Kate), Melissa, and Ciara McCall, Makenzie (Walker), Shannon (Drew), Erin, and Kathleen McGrath; great grandchildren: Annie, Chase and Alma.

Faye’s memorial service will take place at Holy Apostles Catholic Church on Friday, October 6, 2023, with a rosary starting at 10:00 A.M. mass beginning at 11:00 A.M. and a luncheon to follow at 1:00 P.M. at Louie's Pizza and Italian Restuarant in Meridian.
