Obituary of Ralph Leroy Kimmel

Ralph “Butch” Kimmel, 79, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023.  Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ralph was a son of the late Ralph and Deila Kimmel.

Ralph was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked and retired from DWR in 2005.

Ralph is survived by his wife, LaVerne; sons: Eric and Ryan; daughter-in-law, Allison; son-in-law, Simone; grandson, Aidan; granddaughter, Anneliese; siblings: Les, Terry, Larita, and Myron; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law, and devoted friends.

Ralph had a passion for model railroading and was mechanically gifted.  Everyone who knew Ralph knew of his love for model trains. If you didn’t know how to fix something or if you needed good advice, you called Ralph.  His wisdom and devotion to all lucky enough to know him will be greatly missed.

A committal service with military honors will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.  Services are under the care of Accent Funeral Home and Cremation.
