Obituary of Dale Eugene Wurtz

Dale Eugene Wurtz, 79, of Kuna, Idaho went to heaven peacefully, surrounded by his family, on November28, 2023. Dale was born on March 11, 1944 in Topeka, Kansas, to Ollie Wurtz and Alice Smith.

Dale was drafted into the Army on May 11, 1967 and after basic training, was stationed in Germany. He would tell all of us the stories from time to time of his basic training and the things he would have to do along the way, before his honorable discharge on July 31, 1970.

He married Patricia Bledsoe on January 23, 1982 and built their life with all the kids. Dale was the man who could tell you stories for days about hunting or fishing, as he loved doing them every chance he could get. It was always about who could catch the first, the biggest, and the most when it came down to the fishing lines in the water. He enjoyed so much of being in the mountains with family on his hunting trips.

Dale is proceeded in death by his parents; siblings: Donald, Darrell, Dorthy, David, Danny, Dennis; and grandson Joe. He leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia; children: Dale Jr., Brian, Mark, Andrea, Rebecka, and Thomas; grandchildren: Mary, Andrew, Tori, Bryan, Brandon, Domanic, Makayla, Dakota, and Kayson; and five great grandchildren.

Dale’s viewing will be held at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N Main Street, Meridian, ID, 83642, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2023. A burial will follow at Kuna Cemetery, 1321 W Boise Street, Kuna, ID, 83646. A celebration of life will follow at Dale and Patricia’s residence, with a potluck. All family and friends are invited to attend and share stories, tell jokes, and honor Dale’s life.
