Gary worked hard to provide for his family that he loved. He immensely enjoyed driving truck. He woke up early in the mornings to get going on the road and other days he found himself amongst the friends he made drinking coffee at Dennys.

He would travel the valley showing and sharing his displays of antiques he had collected over the years, but his favorite stop was the Western Idaho Fair. There he could share his love of antiques and especially enjoyed showing all the kids how to make ropes Quizzing folks with his "What is it?" table was always a good time. He loved going to auctions. His annual trips to Nebraska for auctions of the Missouri Valley Wrench Club were not to be missed. He also loved any chance to go fishing. He was known for his fast wit and his willingness to always help anyone in need, endeared him to many.

Most important of all, though, Gary loved and appreciated his Creator, Jehovah God. Who gave him the hope of the resurrection through Jesus Christ. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he shared that hope with others.
