Obituary of Beulah Irene Sedlacek

Beulah was born on October 28, 1934, in Boise, Idaho, to Fred and Tacoma Morford. Five years later, her younger brother, Mel, was born. The family first lived on a small farm in Meridian, but later moved to the Knotty Pine Motel in Meridian, that her father was building. The family operated the motel for several years. In 1940, her father also built a family cabin at Warm Lake. She and her brother spent many summers fishing and enjoying the forest. Beulah graduated from Meridian High School in 1952.

Beulah met her husband, Chuck, at a picnic hosted by Chuck’s younger sister, Helen. Chuck and Beulah were married in the Meridian Methodist Church on November 3, 1952. They soon added a son, Ron, and two daughters: Donna and Debbie, to the family. The family enjoyed many years of camping as they explored Idaho and the surrounding states.

In addition to being an excellent homemaker, she worked in the Meridian School District lunch program for over 20 years. She also worked providing catering services for various Hewlett-Packard programs before retiring in 1994.She loved to travel and also loved her crafting. Every year she made sure each of her grandchildren received a new hand-made ornament to put on their Christmas trees.

Her passion for life came from her family. Over the years she spent many hours attending concerts, school programs, and club and sporting events; supporting her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Beulah was proceeded in death by her husband, Chuck; daughter, Donna; and grandson, Chad White. She is survived by her children: Ron (Lynne) Sedlacek; and Debbie (Duane) Uptmor. Her grandchildren: Josh (Stephanie) White; Luke Sedlacek; Molly Sedlacek, Shantel (Jason) Youngkin; and Brandon (Rachel) Wilder; and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Mel, and many nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly. She will be missed by so many. We love you!

Thank you to St. Luke’s Hospice for taking such good care of mom.
