Garden City, Idaho - Jason Kral of Boise, ID: A Devoted Family Man with a Passion for Life and Laughter

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jason Kral, who left us on January 24, 2024, in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 44. A beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Jason's kindness and infectious humor touched many lives.

Born in Boise, Jason was the cherished son of Edward Kral and Barbara Mahaffey, and stepson to Larry Mahaffey. He grew up in a loving family with his brother Matt Kral, and bonus siblings Tina, Shannon, and Mike Mahaffey. Jason's early years were filled with the joy, laughter, and love for sports that he would later bring into his own family and circle of friends.

Jason was at his happiest when he was with his family. A devoted husband of ten years to Laila and a loving father to Faye (9) and Halle (7), he was deeply involved in every aspect of their lives. From taking them to school and sports practices, organizing playdates, endless games of Sorry and Uno, and preparing their favorite meals, he was always there for them, nurturing and supporting them with unwavering dedication. His home was always a place of joy, comfort, and laughter, mirroring the love and dedication he invested in his family. Jason's legacy as an incredible father and a great friend will forever be cherished.

Beyond his family, Jason was known for his vibrant personality and his role as the life of any party. His career in the service industry was a reflection of his love for bringing people together. He took immense pride in crafting the perfect cocktail, especially his renowned Bloody Marys, which were a favorite among family, friends, and regulars alike.

Jason's enthusiasm for life extended to his passions. A die-hard Seattle Seahawks and Mariners fan, he relished watching games live, sharing these moments with friends and family. His love for travel, especially to destinations where he could either ski, golf, or lay on the beach, was another facet of his adventurous spirit.

He leaves behind his wife Laila; daughters Faye and Halle; parents Edward Kral (Diana) and Barbara (Larry) Mahaffey; brother Matt (Kate); and bonus siblings Tina (Brett), Shannon, and Mike along with his nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Legends Pub & Grill, 7609 W Overland Rd on Saturday February 3rd. An open house will begin at 4pm, brief remarks from friends and family will begin at 5:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the future needs and educational support for his daughters, Faye and Halle at https://gofundme.com/jason-kral.

The Kral family extends their heartfelt thank you for the comforting messages and gestures of kindness. Jason's legacy of love, laughter, joy and his infectious smile will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew him. His spirit, forever imprinted in our lives, inspires us to cherish each moment and embrace life with the same passion he exemplified.
