Obituary of James Edward Pennini

James Edward Pennini, age 69, of Chehalis, WA, passed away while visiting family on March 23rd, 2024, in Meridian, ID. Jim was born on April 17th, 1954, to Robert Sr. and Evelyn Pennini in Olympia, WA.

Jim graduated from Thomas Jefferson High (Auburn, WA), in 1972, he went on to venture into his automobile career starting out in fiberglass fabrication, automobile mechanic and custom auto painter. Jim had a passion for water and snow skiing while driving in style with his countless fast muscle cars and hot rods. Jim found the love of his life Diane Rust at her apartment, and they fell in love in 1980. Soon Followed by marriage June 6th,1981. Bun in the oven, Jeremy Pennini was born September 21st,1981. With a new addition to the family Brian Pennini was born November 12th, 1983. Jim brought up his family in Federal Way, WA.

After divorce in 1997 Jim and Diane rekindled their love for each other in 2014. Jim took Diane’s daughter Faith into his heart as one of his own. In 2020 Jim and Diane bought their dream house in Chehalis, WA on five acres where he enjoyed driving his John Deere Tractor and spending time with his grandkids and loved ones. Throughout Jim’s life he enjoyed gardening, working on cars, going on vacations, spending time with family during holidays, watching his favorite shows on television, and drinking Mountain Dew.

Jim is survived by his partner Diane Minnick and her daughter Faith Minnick, his two sons: Jeremy Pennini (Stephanie Hardtke) Brian Pennini (Lisa Pennini and twin grandchildren Calvin and Cecelia.) His sister Judy Hammick and two brothers Bob Jr. and Steve Pennini (Maryanne Pennini).

Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Sr. and Evelyn Pennini. Brother-in-law Tom Hammick and nephew Kai Hammick. Sister-in-law Jane Pennini. A celebration of life will be held at Jim and Diane’s House in Chehalis, WA. Date and time are yet to be determined.
