In loving memory of Shyrel Ann Stoddard

September 1, 1964 ~ November 7, 2020

Shyrel Ann Stoddard, 56, passed on peacefully of cancer in her home surrounded by her loving family on November 7, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Norman Stoddard, and the cherished daughter of Clint and Charlotte (James) Miller.

Born in Ogden, Utah in 1964, she graduated from Roy High School in 1982, where she met husband and high school sweetheart, Norman, who she married in 1983. The two of them lived in Utah and Idaho and eventually settled in Meridian.

She was a licensed beautician and loved to make friends and family look their best. She was a longtime Consultant at Scentsy, and she loved it! She treasured the people she worked with and found true enjoyment in helping others. She worked elections for years and valued the long-term friendships she made there.

Shyrel was the loving mother of Anthony (Jessica) Stoddard, Chandie Stoddard, Kelsie Stoddard, and Charles Knapek. She was the cherished grandmother of Addison, Sierra, Emeri, and Joel.

She loved her brother, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Shyrel was no ordinary soul and touched the lives of many. She had a kind heart and a beautiful smile. She was open and passionate, and always made sure everyone knew how much she loved them. She never judged anyone and made friends wherever she went. Her love was pure and unconditional and she welcomed all with open arms. She had a compassionate heart, a listening ear, and a delightful and contagious laugh that invited others to sit down and share. She did love a good story.

She was a supportive mother, an amazing grandmother, a mother-in-law, and a beautiful friend. Her favorite pastimes were going to church and spending time with family and friends. She adored going to the movies, eating at restaurants, and playing games. She loved to watch football with her dad, and she had a truly wonderful laugh.

Her love and charity for others was amazing and she had a heart full of compassion. Anyone who needed a place to stay was welcomed into her home with a big smile and open arms.

Heaven has truly gained an angel. Her friends and family all feel blessed to have known her. She left a lot of cherished memories. She was a beautiful soul and will be in our hearts forever.
